There is a song titled "A Miracle In Every Pew", most notably sung by Karen Peck and New River. As I reflect on my struggles with church problems, I realize that often times I find a hypocrite on every pew, and miss the miracles.
P.S. - if you attend a church with no problems, then you must be lonely.

Mike Rice,
You are a beautiful person and I love you. You have suffered much, yet you have endured. Seventy times seven baby. Hang in there.
By the way, you're right. We are sure to see the wrong in others if that's all we look for. Instead, let us look to God and find comfort in His word:
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE, whatsoever things are HONEST, whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORT; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things" (Phi 4:8).
And for you, my prayer is this:
"The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace"
(Numbers 6:24-26).
Well said! Thanks for the food for thought!
Bro. Mike , as long as we have people, we are going to have problems. How we handle them is what makes the difference. I have been reading your blog and I want to say that I have enjoyed it. I appreciate the attitude you have. You do not know me, but that is not important. What is important is our relationship with God. Stay sweet in your soul. It always pays to take the humble route. God gives grace to the humble. I have faced many hurts {in church situation} in the time I have been living for God. It is tempting to want to take things into our own hands, but it can destroy us if we are not careful. This was the point I was trying to make in my post that got some people really stirred. I know what has worked for me. If we will hold our peace, God will fight our battles.God will send encouragement. Stay true to God. I pray these problems will be worked out. I assume Kelley is your wife. What encouraging comments she posted.
I was thinking this morning. Jesus was nailed to a cross and crucified for no fault of his own. As he was hanging there, I do not recall of reading anywhere where any of the ones who crucified him ask for forgiveness. Yet Jesus looked down and through all of his suffering and could say, "Father forgive them, they know not what they do." he told us to pray for our enemies and for those who would despitefully use us. This is the route to take to keep the peace of God in our hearts. God bless you.
Thanks to all the comments so far.
Eveninglight Cry: Welcome to my cyber world. I have been making an attempt to post more often, but sometimes become too busy. I quickly looked over your blog and found many interesting points. I may not know you, but if we both have the Spirit of God then we are brothers (or siblings, since you are anonymous). God bless you!
